Nullpoint – Sci-Fi UI/UX Design
Project Overview:
Nullpoint is a conceptual sci-fi action game I developed to showcase a complete UI/UX art pipeline, from cinematic title screens to in-game HUD and modular inventory systems. My focus was on creating a sleek, immersive visual language that supports gameplay while reinforcing tone and worldbuilding.
Design Goals:
Deliver a high-fidelity UI system that feels AAA-ready and narrative-driven
Prioritize readability and player flow while integrating diegetic and stylized elements
Build flexible UI modules that adapt across gameplay states (combat, menus, loadouts, etc.)
What I Designed:
Main menu + start screen with custom emblem and logo
Character loadout interface with stats, abilities, and portrait grids
Modular inventory system with blueprint-style item previews
Upgrade and weapon comparison panels with stat feedback
In-game FPS HUD, compass, mission tracker, and health/ammo bars
Controller UX pass with console-ready inputs (e.g. X / B prompts)
Tooltip overlays for deeper ability breakdowns
Settings screen with a clean, logical layout and thematic styling
Each element was built to feel consistent across screen types while giving the player intuitive feedback and clean interaction zones.
Tools Used:
Figma • Photoshop • Illustrator • Unity (mockup environment)
